TERMS & CONDITIONS
During your 5 days with us you will be taught all the normal elements required to pass your theory test and practical driving test. The classroom sessions are from 9am – 10.00am and 2.30pm – 4.30pm. We will support you with free corrective lessons should you not pass your theory test first time. These lessons can be taken during normal classroom times at a convenient time for you. You are responsible for all Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) test fees but GO GO GO will pre book one DVSA theory test to coincide with your course week and can offer you a pre-booked test, if you are unsuccessful, to save you the DVSA time delay at a charge of £23.00. DVSA PRACTICAL TEST FEE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE COURSE PRICE.
We anticipate that you would book time out of your normal schedule as to try and fit the course in and around your work schedule would be too tiring to get the full benefit of the intensive course.
If you have already passed your theory test, you will not need to take it again but you will need to demonstrate to us in the classroom that these elements are up to speed and achieve a 90% score for our guarantee of free corrective lessons to apply. About 10 % of our students have passed their theory test and when we first started they were failing their practical test due to gaps in their theory knowledge and not their actual driving. If you decide not to attend the classroom for any reason you will not be entitled to any course refunds and we cannot substitute additional driving for untaken classroom time.
Your Driving Instructor will be fully approved by the DVSA who will ensure that you are advised with complete frankness concerning your training needs. All instruction will be one-to-one and pick up will be from our training centre. No passengers will be carried in your car without your prior approval. Training will take place in a suitable vehicle provided by GO GO GO with a manual gear box and dual controls unless you have requested an automatic vehicle on your booking form. The driving sessions are generally between 10.00 am and 12.00 noon and 12.30 pm – 2.30 pm. These timings may change if your Driving Instructor has a student taking a driving test. We always prioritise driving tests and will adjust the course timings for an existing student when you go to test. The timings may also change in the event of a breakdown as some things are out of our control. We will make up any time owed as soon as possible once the vehicle is repaired.
You are insured for liability claims whilst driving the school’s vehicles when accompanied by a GO GO GO instructor or a Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency Examiner. There will be no smoking in the car at any time. The mobile phone will be switched off throughout the lesson. All driving lessons unless agreed otherwise by your instructor will be conducted from our Centre at Peterborough United Football ground.
To try to safeguard your personal property but GO GO GO will not accept liability for anything that you leave in vehicles or on the premises.
We will advise you, when you are ready to attempt your Practical Driving Test and this will be based on successfully passing a mock driving test. This will be conducted on the same criteria required to pass your DVSA test. If in your Driving Instructors opinion you do not pass this test then we will plan an appropriate and cost effective remedy. These lessons are not included in the course price and can be purchased at £35 per hour you will also need to pay the car hire on the day of your test.
We recommend that you book the car an hour before to calm your nerves and for the hour of your test. It is also imperative that when you book your driving test that you enter your instructors ADI number which prevents your instructor from being double booked as they cannot do two tests at the same time.
If you do not pass your practical driving test first time we will correct any serious or dangerous faults outlined on the DL25C test report free of charge. In order to qualify for this you will need to send the examiners test report that the DVSA have emailed to you and send it to enquiries@gogogointensive.com .You will not be entitled to this service until we receive the examiners test sheet. You will be responsible for your instructors car hire for any subsequent tests.
Free corrective training must be taken on the Monday at 9.00am following your test date at our training centre unless agreed otherwise with your driving instructor. Any further lessons if required will also be from our training centre. We reserve the right to use a different Driving Instructor and car.
Your Promise
To be in possession of a current provisional driving licence, both parts and capable of reading a car number plate from 67 feet (20.5m) during all lessons.
Not to attempt to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs. (Heavy drinking the night before a lesson may mean you are still over the legal limit for driving the next day. If you are taking any drugs / medication, ask your doctor if they will affect your driving.)
To understand that a vehicle may not be made available for your driving test if your account is not in credit at the time of the test appointment or if you have not been signed off as test ready. You will be responsible for hiring the car and paying your Driving Instructor on the day of your test.
To keep appointments. Your Driving Instructor will wait 15 mins at the agreed pick up point before deeming the lesson cancelled unless agreed otherwise. This time for the abandoned lesson will still be chargeable. Any lessons cancelled after your intensive course with your instructor require 24 hours’ notice otherwise they will be chargeable.
You agree and understand that by sending the booking form you will be entering in to a binding contract to pay the course fee, once the booking form has been confirmed back to you by Go Go Go Intensive. Go Go Go Intensive will be contracted to pay your Driving Instructor, as they will have cleared their diaries to accommodate your course week, your DVSA test fees and any accommodation charges if applicable. Due to this, Intensive course fees are not refundable but dates can be changed if given 21 days’ notice. A £25 administration charge is made to change course dates. All courses must be paid for at least 4 weeks in advance or if the booking period is less than this by return for Go Go Go Intensive to deliver “our promise” outlined above. An administration charge of £15 is made if your cheque is returned by your Bank. Whilst Go Go Go Intensive may confirm payment by cheque, cleared funds must be in place to deliver “our promise” outlined above. Payment in full must be made.
Unfortunately, cancellation due to illness if less than 21 days’ notice is given will result in the loss of your course fee. To mitigate this risk we strongly recommend that you take out your own insurance.
Course dates can only be changed once, within a 3 Month period of the original course commencing.
You will need to complete course work for your theory test in the evenings when you return home. You are therefore advised to keep the whole week clear so that you can focus on this and not to let work or your social life distract you from this.
Go Go Go Intensive will fast track your practical driving test when your instructor has signed you off as test ready. By their very nature cancellations are unpredictable and we do not imply any guarantees but to date we have never failed to find an earlier test slot for our students. Our worst performance was August 2014, where for one student, we only managed to pull a test forward by 30 days. Generally, we are finding earlier test slots within 3 – 10 working days but this can be more difficult in the summer months. At the moment there is a backlog of tests due to the Covid-19 lockdown. We are waiting for DVSA guidance and cannot be held responsible for any Coivid-19 related issues.
It is your responsibility to liaise with your instructor regarding their availability for your test date and not to accept a cancellation if they are not available. If your instructor is not available we will endeavour to find you a replacement but cannot guarantee, neither can we guarantee the make and model of the vehicle. Failure to check with your instructor could lead to a loss of your DVSA test fee as the DVSA require at least 4 working days’ notice to cancel your test slot.
With COVID-19 expected to still be a risk for a long time to come, and social distancing to some degree necessary post lockdown, we have put measures in place to make our classroom training and driver training as risk free as possible for you, our staff and our instructors.
